The maker of PCs and laptops is apparently inspired and is going to create an open-standard PC-based “games machine”. Ther source of their inspiration is consoles themselves and their proprietary nature.
Is this the rise of the PC-console mutant? An unholy union of the two species like vampire and werewolf?
German site Gamestar claims that Acer’s senior vice president James T. Wong is the originated of this news, but there’s been no further evidence or rumbling from the company so for now rest easy PC & console puritans for such heresy is only on the wind… for now.
