Cozy farming life sim Starsand Island is now in early Access on PC and Xbox Series X/S, and it’s been pretty popular since its February 11, 2026, release.
The sim sees players head to the countryside of a serene island, where they can befriend the wildlife, create their own farm, and chat with the locals.
In Early Access, the game regularly receives patches, big and small, to address the myriad issues that crop up and to generally tweak the game for a more pleasurable experience.

Starsand Island Early Access Update Version 0.4.7483 Latest Patch Notes
Just a very small hotfix to resolve the issue where, in certain cases, stations pending construction would not appear on the map after players completed the “Building Starsand Station” quest. This patch resolves the issue you’ve been experiencing.

This update focuses on quest progression fixes, Build Mode improvements, and UI stability enhancements to improve the overall Early Access experience for Starsand Island.
Several Spring Festival issues have been resolved, including quests triggering at incorrect times and Winter availability problems with the Spring Festival Plaza construction quest. Build Mode has also received multiple fixes, addressing multi-select functionality, item placement issues, blueprint boundaries, and incorrect category displays.
Controller usability has been improved with resolved input conflicts and item placement fixes, while additional UI improvements address merchant ship purchase freezes, inventory pickup issues, and blueprint editing problems.
This update also corrects recipe inconsistencies, tutorial text errors, character creation limitations, and missing models, along with fixing incorrect item source information such as the Cloud Surfer now properly obtained from the Starsand Shop.
Overall, Version 0.4.7081 delivers smoother quest flow, more reliable Build Mode functionality, improved controller support, and general stability fixes across Starsand Island.

- Fixed an issue where the Spring Festival “Out with the old, in with the new!” quest would pop up upon entering the game after creating a character.
- Fixed an issue where the Spring Festival Plaza construction quest could not be accepted from Solara at certain times during winter.
- Fixed an issue where opening the menu in Build Mode would display “No items in current category.”
- Fixed an issue where items dropped on the ground from chests had no pickup button when the inventory was full.
- Fixed an issue with abnormal recipes appearing in the Jam Maker.
- Fixed an issue in the merchant ship purchase interface where items appeared unavailable for purchase, and pressing the purchase button would cause the UI to freeze and become unresponsive.
- Fixed an issue where items could not be placed after being split when using a controller.
- Removed the Planting Box related description from the tutorial prompts.
- Fixed an issue where certain food items could not be selected in Build Mode.
- Fixed an issue where applying an aquarium blueprint in the aquarium edit interface would cause the aquarium to disappear.
- Fixed an issue in controller mode where button prompts would conflict in the blueprint save interface.
- Fixed an issue where doors, windows, and stairs could not be selected using multi-select in Build Mode.
- Fixed an issue where the source of Cloud Surfer was displayed incorrectly; it should be obtained from the Starsand Shop.
- Fixed an issue where items could be built outside the blueprint area in Build Mode and could not be removed.
- Fixed an issue where the left and right eyes could not be assigned the same preset color during character creation.
- Fixed an issue where the model for Season Watermelon was missing in Graminova’s garden.
