A little while ago a blog post from an employee at Factor 5 told a rather grim state of affairs over at the development house, but was later recanted.
Now Edge is told that everything that blog mentioned is in fact true and they last got paid ”October 15th,” said the source. ”Factor 5 is thinking of suing” the blogger Sam Baker.
”The thing that bothers me the most about it all is they could have avoided all of this ages ago. It wasn’t really the Brash deal going south that was the big problem, but it didn’t help much either,” the source tells Edge.
Brash Entertainment going under was one of the major reasons Factor 5 attributed to their current troubles. They had a multi-game contact with them that died along with the company.
Sam Baker was the employee to blog the troubles going on at Factor 5 and has since left the company. He detailed the money troubles, lack of staff pay, healthcare frozen and project canning. ”He’s young, and was totally devastated by his new found fame. He didn’t think anything of it, innocently posting his heartfelt concerns,” said the source.
”The kicker is, Factor 5 is thinking of suing” former F5 artist Sam Baker ”for good measure.”
Edge has revealed themselves that another secondary source has confirmed the accuracy of their report, both understandably wish to remain anonymous.
No word from Factor 5.
