Retailers, especially the online variety, have always been a bit liberal when it comes to announcing videogame release dates.
Ahead of Blizzards convention GameStop, Best Buy and Circuit City have all tagged the upcoming RTS sequel StarCraft II with a December 3rd slot.
Chances are Blizzard are going to keep their mouths shut about it but could spill Zerg beans at the upcoming Blizzard Worldwide Invitational event. The chances of three retailers just happening to pick the same date all at once seems rather mathematically improbable, something Shacknews points out themselves too.
Blizzards big event will be taking place in Paris on June 28th and 29th - let’s hope they announce something then.
