Epic: Unreal Engine 4 is in development, expect to see it in 2012 - 2018

Speaking with people present at the GameFest in Seattle, Epic’s President Mike Capps has said that Epic is currently working on Unreal Engine 4, although it might not be released for another ten years, when Mike suspects the next-generation of consoles to be released.

”We’ve got Unreal (Engine) 4 in production right now… it’s going to be in the next console generation - our rough guess is 2012 (to) 2018.”

The next-generation of consoles will probably start appearing much sooner than 2018, although 2012 could be a good date for next-generation judgment year.
