During a conference call Peter Moore, president of EA Sports, announced that the PC sports genre will be revitalised starting next year.
They cited ”serious business challenges” as the cause for no offerings this year which drew heavy criticism from long time fans of the franchises.
”We are retooling these titles to take advantage of the online connectivity in a bigger and more meaningful way,” Moore said. He also explained that EA is experimenting with subscription systems to reward players, but didn’t divulge anything concrete.
Let’s hope this reinvigoration delivers better games for PC sports fans that are actually geared toward the PC platform, and not just a tweaked port.
