Not so good a financial report from Sega, they’re down yet more monies and ”decreased sales” are to blame, which is then their fault for not having super great games out.
Retail in North America and Japan haven’t performed so good, but Europe still loves a bit of Sega. Wii shooter The Conduit sold 150k copies during the quarter, has only had 7 days in US.
The exclusive Wii shooter released in July for Europe, and so those numbers weren’t included. Nintendo Wii has performed the best for Sega, followed by the PS3 and then Xbox 360. Europeans are the most pro-Sega, with demand ”levelled off in Japan and North America”.
Sega hopes to dent it’s ”expanded operating loss” with their autumn bound Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games and Obsidian Entertainment’s Alpha Protocol. How would you save Sega?
