Rumours about Diablo 4 coming to Nintendo Switch 2 are heating up, and with BlizzCon 2026 right around the corner, fans are ready for an official announcement. What should we realistically expect, though?
Like Diablo 3 before it on Switch 1, Diablo 4 would be a fantastic addition to Nintendo’s third-party library, especially after making a splash (through its PC version) on Valve’s Steam Deck. The current portable hardware is clearly ready to take on Blizzard’s latest demon-slaying action RPG, but is it really almost here?
Diablo 4 on Switch 2 Release Date
Renowned leaker billbil-kun (via Dealabs) shared the port’s first details and tentative release date following a rating for the Taiwanese rating board of a Nintendo Switch 2 port. All we’re missing now is an official announcement.

While the aforementioned leaker and other sources are confident Diablo 4 will invade Nintendo Switch 2 in mid-September, plans could change, so stay tuned to learn about the latest news that come from this year’s BlizzCon, which takes place from September 12 to 13.
Diablo 4 on Switch 2 Features and Price
While we don’t know yet if Diablo 4 on Nintendo Switch 2 will have exclusive control features and twists to local play, it’s reasonable to expect content parity with the other versions and full support for cross-play and cross-saves via Battle.net accounts.
In fact, billbil-kun’s first report indicates Diablo 4 on Switch 2 will include the Vessel of Hatred and Lord of Hatred expansions, and come with both digital and physical formats. Sadly, it seems the physical boxed release will be a CIAB (code in a box) one, meaning there’s no actual physical support for the game on Nintendo’s platform.
As for the price, they reported it’ll sell for 69,99 € / 69,99 $ / 62,99 £ when it hits stores and the Nintendo eShop on September 15 (or at a later date). Again, we’re still waiting for an official announcement, so come back after BlizzCon 2026 for a more complete rundown.
