BioWare’s sci-fi RPG Mass Effect 2 and a sequel to DICE’s shooter Battlefield: Bad Company will arrive in the last quarter of next year’s fiscal for EA.
That means the two games should arrive sometime from January 1st to March 31st, 2010. It’s believed Mass Effect 2 will hit Xbox 360 and PS3 but follow PC a few months later.
BioWare has previously hinted the game would follow the release model of the first, meaning it hits console and then the PC a little while later. Now that EA owns BioWare, PS3 gamers can expect to see a visit from the Citadel races; officially there’s no platform confirmation.
DICE’s Bad Company was a console only shooter and isn’t expected to change now.
2010 is suddenly a hot year.
