Yoshinori Kitase has ruled out a blu-ray demo for Final Fantasy XIII outside of his native Japan, but that's not to say a downloadable demo couldn't arrive.
Here in the Western parts of the globe a demo "normally means" something we can download says Kitase-san, and so they're looking into it. They "can't just make it" for PS3.
"The type of demo version we released in Japan, we currently have no plan of doing that abroad, partly because we are going to carry on with the project alongside the Xbox version, so we really can't just make it available only for the PS3," producer Kitase-san told VideoGamer.com.
"But we hear that the demo version normally means something that you can download in the West, so that is a possibility we would like to check."
The developers don't look keen to play favourites here in the West and so any demo would likely hit both the Xbox 360 and PS3 platform at the same time or very close together - that's if they ever announce one...
