BioWare’s fantastic romp into the Star Wars universe has been further immortalised as it reaches Steam and Direct2Drive, with PAX attendees getting free copies at the booth.
Released back in 2003 on the original Xbox, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic blended D&D rules with Star Wars canon, resulting in a magnificent galactic adventure for all.
It later came to PC and helped rekindle BioWare’s eye for RPG leading to sci-fi epic Mass Effect. A sequel was released for KOTOR, called Sith Lords, but was developed by Obsidian Entertainment.
Steam now lists the classic BioWare title for £6.99, which is a price well worth paying for a super Force-infused adventure set 4,000 years before the events of Episode IV: A New Hope.
”It is four thousand years before the Galactic Empire and hundreds of Jedi Knights have fallen in battle against the ruthless Sith. You are the last hope of the Jedi Order. Can you master the awesome power of the Force on your quest to save the Republic? Or will you fall to the lure of the dark side?” Decide you must, the fate of galaxy. Sorry, couldn’t resist.
Do you have fond memories of places like Manaan, Korriban, Tatooine and Kashyyyk?
