AMD have a new fancy graphics chipset and so they’re pleased to announce that developer Phenomic is ”demonstrating its commitment” to Battleforge fans by enabling DX11.
Which of course ”when matched” with AMD’s new ”cutting-edge” DirectX 11 hardware it helps deliver an ”improved game experience” in performance and visuals. HDAO is here.
HDAO is high definition ambient occlusion, which is tech speak for ‘real fancy’.
”BattleForge players will now experience unparalleled graphic performance and even richer visuals including DirectX 11 specific features like high definition ambient occlusion (HDAO),” said the press release, reports CVG.
”By delivering the first DirectX 11 game, the team at Phenomic is demonstrating its commitment to the many fans of BattleForge,” added AMD’s Rick Bergman.
”When matched with our cutting-edge DirectX 11 graphics hardware, the jump to DirectX 11 helps ensure an improved game experience both in terms of performance and image quality.”
Battleforge is EA’s free-to-play real-time strategy game involving cards. Now it’ll be supporting Microsoft’s new DirectX 11 because DX 10.1 is such a has-been.
