While tri-Ace intended to whip up a storm with a web countdown for their latest RPG project, Famitsu magazine has already blown the great surprise.
This will be developer tri-Ace’s first videogame outside of Square Enix. Players will have their adventures hosted in a gargantuan machine city called Burzel, never venturing beyond it.
According to blabbermouth Famitsu, End of Eternity is around 65% complete and is being released on Xbox 360 and PS3 at the end of the year in Japan. It won’t follow the more traditional staples of a JRPG either, reporting the field is built with hexes.
Battles will be ”semi-realtime” too with emphasis on guns, much like SEGA’s own Valkyria Chronicles. You’ll control no more than one of three maximum party members in fights.
The official End of Eternity site opens this Friday so some shots and maybe a trailer are likely.
