2005’s Shadow of the Colossus, from genius devs Team Ico, will be getting the red carpet treatment soon enough as it heads for cinema.
The project is being led by producer Kevin Misher (Fighting, Case 39) over at Columbia Pictures, with Justin Marks (Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li) attached to write.
If you haven’t experienced the game then it’s about a guy called Wander who rides his trusty steed Agro to hunt down huge monsters called Collosi, all to save a girl named Mono. The game itself is quite cinematic but whether that means it could ever translate to the silver screen… well I guess fans will find out eventually.
Screenwriter Justin Marks has also worked on Voltron and Masters of the Universe - has he got the stones for Shadow of the Colossus? Perhaps everyone would be happier if Team Ico just made another game of it?
