There’s no one to bring Demon’s Souls to Europe, no publisher seems interested in picking it up to distribute in the ‘old countries’, not even in Britain!
Atlus themselves are ”not aware of any plans/publishers” to bring the game to Europe, but they’re hopeful ”word of mouth” might pique interest for an EU publisher. Start flapping those gums!
”We have no plans to publish it in Europe at present,” issued a Sony rep, though they were happy to ship it in Japan. Tecmo Koei, who has published Atlus titles before, also has ”no plans”.
Atlus meanwhile has spoken with Eurogamer: ”I’m not aware of any plans/publishers for bringing the game to Europe at this time,” they said.
”Hopefully the game continues to generate word of mouth and positive critical reception (like your great import review you folks did) and a European publisher takes notice.”
Demon’s Souls is being exclusively released on PS3 this October 6th in the US.
