Battlefield 6 is finally out, and we’ve collected every weapon available in the game so far right here, images included. In the future, check back in to learn about the new guns which are set to arrive each season.
Below you’ll find an up-to-date list with every primary and secondary weapon available in BF6 so far. After the launch period is over and seasons start coming, we’ll also continue to update this article with the latest assault rifles, SMGs, sniper rifles, and whatnot as they arrive. Our rundown isn’t meant to be a very in-depth look at each weapon though; we’re keeping things brief here.
All Battlefield 6 primary weapons
Primary weapons in Battlefield 6 are spread across seven distinct categories. While the game allows every class (the traditional system is back) to equip every type of weapon, each class has a ‘signature weapon’ they’re better with. For example, the Recon class favours sniper rifles, which allow that type of soldier to hold their breath while aiming.
Weapons are unlocked as new career ranks are reached. Keep playing, and you’ll be expanding your armory in no time. As for weapon customization, attachments are also unlocked as you level up each gun. Each attachment uses up a number of points inside the customization menu, and you can mix-and-match them however you like as long as you stay below the limit.
Here’s the complete list of BF6 primary weapons, split into categories, at the time of writing:
Assault rifles (signature weapon: Assault)
The Assault class gets faster draw and switch times, plus better sprint recovery, while using assault rifles.
- NVO-228E - This powerful assault rifle chambered in 7.62 Soviet is a reliable weapon designed for mid-range encounters.
- B36A4 - A versatile carbine that can be modified to compete in both close-quarters or ranged encounters.
- M433 - Chambered in 5.56x45mm, this cutting-edge rifle is best suited at closer ranges due to its above average rate of fire.
- SOR-556 MK2 - A modular rifle which uses an intermediate configuration for high accuracy in mid-to-long range engagements.
- AK4D - A classic battle rifle with a slower rate of fire but high stopping power in mid-to-long range engagements.
- TR-7 - A popular bullpup battle rifle with a high rate of fire and recoil better suited to close-range combat.
- KORD 6P67 - This rifle mixes a high rate of fire with low recoil. It’s a good fit for both long and close-range fights.
- L85A3 - A modified bullpup rifle with a steady rate of fire that favors mid-to-long rage engagements.
Carbines
- M4A1 - With its high cyclic rate, extending this carbine’s effective range requires competent recoil management.
- AK-205 - With an average cyclic rate and 5.45x39mm chambering, this rifle offers superior ranged performance.
- M417 A2 - Chambered in 7.62x51mm, this compact battle rifle offsets its high damage with a steady rate of fire.
- M277 - Chambered in 6.8x51mm, this recent rifle is meant to perform remarkably well at range at the cost of smaller magazine capacity.
- GRT-BC - A compact bullpup rifle with an above-average rate of fire, good hipfire accuracy, and an intermediate chambering.
- QBZ-192 - A modern rifle of East Asian origin which uses 5.8x42mm bullets. It includes a bipod in its factory setting.
- SG 55R3 - A rifle from the Cold War era that’s been modernized and excels at close-range encounters. Beyond mid range, there are better alternatives.
SMGs (signature weapon: Engineer)
The Engineer class enjoys improved hip-fire control while using SMGs.
- SGX - A modern 9x19mm PDW suited for close-range engagements. Can be configured to improve its ranged capabilities.
- PW7A2 - A 4.6x30mm chambering ensures this PDW outperforms at range. Still effective in close quarters due to its high rate of fire.
- PW5A3 - A popular SMG which performs remarkably well in both close and mid-range encounters.
- UMG-40 - Another popular SMG made of polymer that operates with a low rate of fire and is chambered in .40 caliber. An excellent performer in mid-range encounters.
- USG-90 - The famous high-capacity PDW with an iconic design. Low damage elevated by a very high rate of fire.
- KV9 - Its tremendously high rate of fire asks for much larger magazines than the standard one, but if you can feed it, few (if any) SMGs can deal out as much damage per second.
- SCW-10 - A modular modern SMG chambered in 10mm with increased stopping power for better performance in mid-range encounters.
- SL9 - A uniquely designed, cutting-edge SMG which can adapt well to any combat scenario.
LMGs (signature weapon: Support)
The Support class can sprint with no speed penalty while using LMGs.
- L110 - An all-purpose Squad Automatic Weapon chambered in 5.56x45mm. Well-matched for most engagements.
- KTS100 MK8 - With low recoil and a steady RPM, this light machine gun’s moderate damage is offset by accurate suppressive fire.
- DRS-IAR - A reliable LSW which exists between assault rifles and versatile LMGs. The equipped attachments define its usability.
- M/60 - A widely used machine gun which can suppress large groups of enemies with its slow but steady rate of fire.
- RPKM - The original LSW, with a very high degree of adaptability, but better suited for mid-range suppression.
- M123K - An ideal LMG for close-quarter encounters thanks to its high firerate.
- M250 - A companion to the M277 carbine with similar ranged overmatch effectiveness by combining effective suppressive fire with solid stopping power at range.
- M240L - A general-purpose machine gun modernized to improve its weight and bullet capacity. As a result, it performs well in both attack and defense.
DMRs
- M39 EMR - Chambered in 7.62x51mm, this versatile marksman rifle is a solid addition to any squad arsenal.
- SVK-8.6 A precision rifle chambered in the powerful 8.6x70mm cartridge. A lower effective rate of fire offsets its lethality.
- LMR27 - A cutting-edge precision rifle with a low damage output which makes rapid follow-up shots possible.
- SVDM - A classic marksman rifle that’s been modernized for 21st-century warfare. It can perform well at a variety of ranges depending on the build.
Sniper rifles (signature weapon: Recon)
The Recon class can stabilize aim by holding their breath and rechambering more quickly between shots while using sniper rifles.
- M2010 ESR - This accurate bolt-action sniper rifle reaches targets at greater distances with its .300 WM chambering.
- SV-98 - A balanced bolt-action rifle that’s perfect at the range between 45 and 90 meters.
- PSR - A sniper rifle designed for extreme ranges and with a very high damage output. It’s most effective between 75 and 150 meters.
Shotguns
- M87A1 - A reliable pump-action shotgun chambered with 3” shells for improved stopping power.
- M1014 - A semi-auto shotgun which hits hard but is limited by its magazine tube capacity.
- 18.5KS-K - A magazine-fed, semi-auto shotgun which deals sizable damage.
All Battlefield 6 secondary weapons
Any class can also equip secondary weapons in BF6, and we’re expecting them all to be pistols, handguns, and revolvers.
- P18 - A reliable sidearm able to meet the demands of almost any combat scenario.
- ES 5.7 - A companion to the USG-90 and a sidearm with a surprisingly big magazine packing high-velocity bullets.
- M45A1 - A traditional sidearm adapted to the 21st century. Its decent damage and rate of fire are offset by a small magazine.
- M44 - A modern revolver and hand cannon with a generous range effectiveness and high damage output. Its rate of fire and capacity are limited.
