The march edition of US PlayStation Magazine reveals Namco plan to launch a 'rebirth' of the franchise and not some sequel, prequel or tacky spin-off either.
Volatile Games are handling the development and the game is known as 'Dead to Rights'. This new breed will have heavier emphasis on close hand-to-hand combat.
The game is mentioned only for PS3 but it's likely Namco would want to maximise the impact of this new and evolved Dead to Rights by spreading it to Xbox 360. While still a third-person action game and starring Jack Slate, there has been one plot alteration with canine companion Shadow the dog.
