Bad news for Xbox 360 gamers, though not terrible at least, because the limits of dual-layer DVD means audio and video compression.
A dual-layer Blu-ray however can accommodate around 50GB, so full Final Fantasy XIII glory is to be had. Hopefully fans can’t/won’t notice.
Square Enix has made the revelation, which shouldn’t shock, that its multi-disc affair on the Xbox 360 will suffer some compression to audio and video. Final Fantasy XIII will go completely uncompressed on a single Blu-ray disc. It’s out this winter in Japan.
Westerners must wait until early next year for a chance at FFXIII on Xbox 360 and PS3, though gamers with particular eye may fancy the latter platform.
