Fashion person Marc Ecko has said how much ”blood, sweat, and tears” went into Getting Up: Contents Under pressure, and he’s determined to make a sequel ”if it kills” him.
With all the hardware changes since the first, Ecko believes a sequel would be ”meaningful and fun” for sure. Legal issues with publisher Atari tie up progress on working Getting Up 2.
”Getting Up was a lot of blood, sweat, and tears,” Ecko told Destructoid.
”Atari shit the bed, you know? And I’m gonna f*cking make that game again if it kills me. I’m gonna do it. I want to see the brand out there again.” You can’t question his passion.
”Imagine if given the opportunity in this market and the velocity of the market, and all the developments within the hardware,” he explained, ”what we could do with that genre. I feel really confident that we can do something meaningful and fun, regardless of the rough around the edges road of getting it to the market.”
We played Marc Ecko’s Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure back in the day, and we thought it was pretty damn neat at the time. How about you, videogamer?
