Mega publisher Activision Blizzard has withdrawn itself from the PCGA rather quietly, it seems they can't figure out the upshot to membership.
The PCGA has confirmed that "a few members" couldn't sign off on the numbers, either in money or staff, needed to uphold "an active role" in the organisation right now.
Technically speaking Activision Blizzard does tremendous work for the PC gaming platform with little things like Call of Duty, and that online thing... erm, what's it called? Oh yeah, World of Warcraft.
"...a few members have decided they cannot justify the budget (membership and staff) required to maintain an active role in the PC Gaming Alliance at this time," the PCGA told Kotaku. Well at least Sony DADC (SecuROM) has joined the fight, that's a good thing right?
