The rise of the zombie isn't something to fear, at least in videogame terms, as Treyarch's Josh Olin admits he could battle undead for "the rest of time."
Recently the undead have been showing up a lot lately in games, but that doesn't mean were saturated yet notes the Call of Duty dev. Next up are Imperial Jap Zombies in Map Pack 2.
"Out of fear of showing my zombie nerd-ism I will contend that zombies aren't saturated at all. I could play zombies for the rest of time," said community lead Olin, in a Giant Bomb podcast.
"But people thought that about the World War II genre, right - that that was saturated?"
"And I think that with World at War at least our hope was that we would come out with something that was new and different that people haven't been used to playing before. Hopefully that's been proven by the success of these map packs."
Call of Duty: World At War's Map Pack 2 is coming out next month and will be inviting some not-so-dead Japanese soldiers to the mix. These poor souls could be described as non-dead, or even undead, if you will.
