Microsoft and developer Turn 10 have confirmed that Forza Motorsport 3 has entered its ”final lap before launching” on October 23rd exclusively for Xbox 360.
Before that though a demo for Forza 3 will debut September 24th on Xbox Live, and lets gamers sample five ”amazing cars” in a full circuit of the ”Camino Viejo track.” Damage is on.
”The white flag waves as “Forza Motorsport 3” has Gone Gold, entering its final lap before launching on Oct. 23 exclusively on Xbox 360,” reads a press release. ”To mark the occasion, Microsoft and Turn 10 today confirmed that a demo of the highly anticipated title will arrive on Xbox LIVE Marketplace starting Sept. 24.”
The five playable cars are 2007 Porsche #80 Flying Lizard 911 GT3-RSR, 2010 Audi R8 5.2 FSI quattro, 2009 Ferrari California, 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X GSR and the 2009 Mini John Cooper Works. All drivable with full cock-pit views and damage enabled.
”When logged into Xbox LIVE, the demo will also support official leaderboards for lap times, giving you a further taste of what players will experience in “Forza Motorsport 3.”
You’ll also see in action the rewind feature in Forza 3, ”as you take turns on a beautiful Spanish mountain course inspired by the Montserrat region just outside of Barcelona, Spain.”
Forza Motorsport 3 features over ”400 fully customizable and tunable cars from over 50 of the world’s leading manufacturers.” Check out some Aston Martin DBS gameplay below.
