Kotaku have got their mitts on footage of what appears to be Star Wars Battlefront III. The gameplay footage was apparently shot during an internal alpha meeting in November with the hanging-on-by-a-thread developer Free Radical Design.
The struggling developer has had to cut its workforce from 140 to 40 following the studio being put up for sale. This has placed several exciting projects in jeopardy including Battlefront III and TimeSplitters 4.
The footage certainly looks genuine enough and looks like it could be something quite special. At a glance however, it looks like more of the same, but look a little closer and you’ll notice some great cut scenes and fast–paced action sequences.
Sabotaging Star Destroyers in space also seems to be making a return, although the interiors look a lot more expansive and fully realised. Here’s hoping that this eventually sees the light of day.
