One publisher is very happy with itself right now, Activision Blizzard has blitzed past its own forecast for the quarter thanks to IPs that ”continue to perform.”
The mega publisher has big gun franchises right now with Call of Duty, Guitar Hero and World of Warcraft all reaping successive sales. $860 million in revenue is expect for the period.
”We exceeded our quarterly financial goals as the video game market continues to grow and our franchises continue to perform,” said CEO Robert Kotick, presumably while sitting down on his wallet to keep it from exploding cash into the faces of bystanders.
