A rumour surfaced that the PC only Battlefield Heroes would in fact be making its way onto Xbox 360 and PS3, but that’s a load of tosh say EA.
They’re adamant it’s ”tailor-made for PC” what with it being free to download and play, backed up with micro-transactions and in-game adverts. Gamers ”don’t need” super-computer.
”Contrary to rumours spreading around the internet in the weekend we have no plans to release Battlefield Heroes on either PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360,” stated EA.
”Battlefield Heroes’ mixture of free download (funded by micro-transactions and advertising) and our extensive use of the web for social features means that Heroes is tailor-made for PC.”
”Not to worry, you don’t need a super-computer to play Battlefield Heroes.” Currently the minimum specs for Battlefield Heroes for PC are:
• Operating System: Windows XP or Windows Vista
• CPU: 1.0 GHz
• RAM: 512 Mb (1Gb on Windows Vista)
• Video Card: 64Mb DirectX compliant video card with at least pixel shader 2.0 support
• Hard Drive space: 1Gb of space is required to install the game
• Internet connection: 256kbit Cable/DSL connection
