Dawn of War II has already changed the original’s formula and delivered a more tense strategy game, and now THQ and developer Relic plan to build on that some more.
Chaos Rising adds a ”tremendous amount” of new content, as it continues the Blood Raven campaign as they face ”the powerful” Chaos Space Marines. New maps, units and more.
”Chaos Rising delivers a tremendous amount of new content, including the powerful Chaos Space Marines, new multiplayer maps and units, a new level cap and a continuation of the Blood Ravens single player campaign,” said THQ’s Kevin Kraff, reports VideoGamer.com.
”Relic’s passion for the Warhammer 40,000 universe and talent in crafting innovative RTS games will ensure Chaos Rising is an engaging experience that will advance the franchise and genre.”
The standalone add-on brings with it new singleplayer and co-op missions, a raised level cap (20 to 30) and more potent wargear. Plus there’s plenty of new multiplayer action too, as well as new units for the other original game races.
We played and spilled our guts on Dawn of War II, which developer Relic has given tremendous support for, something they couldn’t really do for the original game because of how it was put together. Do you enjoy the new RPG-esque Dawn fo War II?
