According to anonymous 1UP sources ”close to the project,” developers are working hard to localise PS3’s Yakuza 3 for a release in North American and European markets.
Some are hopeful the Tokyo Game Show could reveal more, if the rumour holds true. Meanwhile Yakuza 4 will be showcasing at TGS, and has already been ruled out in the West.
”…we’ve learned that the PS3 exclusive is indeed coming west. According to sources close to the project, Yakuza 3 is currently being localized for release in the U.S. and European markets,” reports 1UP.
The reason Yakuza 3 has been a no show is because of the poor sales performance of the previous two titles in the US. Obviously Sega feels the pain of western gamers and maybe throwing us a bone after all…?
