Producer Jun Takeuchi has announced the long standing horror franchise will be getting rebooted with the arrival of Resident Evil 6.
It seems the dev team have decided it’s time for a change, a big overhaul, as 1UP writes that Takeuchi assures them ”a reboot is in order for the inevitable Resident Evil 6.”
Many fans have been moaning it has taken too much of a detour from mechanics that made it so great in the first place. Perhaps they’ll ambush us and announce RE6 is a dungeon crawler RPG…
”In what is destined to be the first genuinely epic game of 2009, Resident Evil 5 is practically guaranteed to be the last of its kind, with the game’s producer, Jun Takeuchi, assuring us that a reboot is in order for the inevitable Resident Evil 6,” teases 1UP.
