Sony have demoed the motion controller a little, an early prototype at least, for use with Capcom’s Resident Evil 5. It’s believed a special version might release for it.
LittleBigPlanet was also included and a patch is expected to add in support for the motion tech when it releases. Others titles such as PAIN, Flower and EyePet will also be updated.
Resident Evil 5 producer Jun Takeuchi showed off the motion controller with the game, which seems to add a reticule on screen so you know where your focus is. This allows for movement and aim while cradling a DualShock 3 controller in the other hand facilitates interaction.
Another release of the title is expected in spring next year, likely in Japan first at least, which blends the motion tech into Resident Evil 5. LittleBigPlanet was also demoed with reports it looked similar to Super Mario Galaxy’s co-op gameplay. One player moved about while another was grabbing at stuff. A title update is expected to bring in full support.
Other games with motion tech in their future, reports 1UP, are PAIN, High Velocity Bowling, Flower, and EyePet. Many more will likely get the treatment closer to the spring launch.
