Speaking at a Tokyo Game Show keynote, boss Kaz Hirai revealed that the video service currently available in the States for PS3 users will be "expanded outside" the US.
Citing their initial launch of the service had 300 movies and 1,200 TV shows, Hirai said it now holds "more than" 23,000 movies and 13,300 TV shows. Europe to get a slice of the action.
"We introduced a new video distribution service in the US, 300 movie titles at launch and 1200 episodes of TV drama," Hirai told the audience, reports VG247.
"Today we have more than 13,300 TV dramas and 23,000 movies, and this service is going to be expanded outside the US," he added. "We are planning on rolling this service out to all of Europe by the end of 2010." The UK will in fact have the service by the end of this year.
