The Wii market is ”a little bit unpredictable” now says studio boss Alain Tascan, so they’ll focus on ”big, blockbuster-type” projects more.
”The Wii market is a little bit unpredictable these days,” Tascan told Edge, ”We’re going to see how Christmas is going to do and while with the Wii we have had very successful titles, we are going to focus on big, blockbuster-type titles.”
”It doesn’t mean that we are going to abandon the Wii, but as a studio we want to be ready for new challenges.” Army of Two was developed by EAM, and will be enjoying its sequel debut, ‘The 40th Day’, in January for Xbox 360 and PS3.
That’s one of the reasons EAM want back in the HD gaming arena, because Army of Two is one of ”the most successful original IP EA has had in the last few years” noted Tuscan, and added that EA isn’t turning from big budget projects, but ”adjusting their direction.”
