Online distributor GamersGate has celebrated punching through the 1000th title mark, and are happy they help ”foster innovation” with such indie games.
Their goal is to ”enable market access” for small development teams, and has been ever since it began as a fledgling project under Paradox Interactive; now independent and ever-growing.
”Braid not only challenges traditional game design, it challenges the very fabric of the industry by achieving critical success as a download only title,” said GamersGate CEO Theodore Bergquist.
”Our goal is to enable market access for small development companies in order to foster innovation in the industry, and having Braid as our 1000th title is a symbol of our success.”
Paradox Interactive CEO Frederick Wester will be attending BAFTA’s digital distribution event which starts tomorrow. Wester will be on a panel session entitled: ”Do Games Developers Still Need Publishers?”
Some of GamersGate’s newest title additions are X3: Gold, Smashing Toys and Stateshift.
