The first-person multiplayer shooter Shattered Horizons will be retailing digitally via Steam and the official game site November 4th. It’s a zero-G space blast-athon, with DLC plans.
This is Futuremark’s first ever game, and they’re exclusively launching on PC with support only for DirectX 10 graphics. Shattered Horizons also has dedicated servers, with source code.
”Shattered Horizon is a multiplayer first person shooter that immerses you in the cold reality of combat in space. Teams of players fight in zero gravity to control hollowed-out asteroids, huge fragments of Moon rock and the ruined remains of the International Space Station,” goes the blurb, reports VE3D.
Developer Futuremark Games Studio also pledges downloadable content will be coming post launch and it’ll be given freely to all players of the online space blaster. ”Shattered Horizon allows PC gamers to choose who and how they want to play through dedicated servers run by the community,” they continued, also promising to give out source code.
Futuremark themselves will run servers in North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Major gaming clans, eSports organisations and hosting companies can contact the studio for early access to the server source code.
Those who pre-order Shattered Horizons get 10 percent off and access to new content before everyone else down the line. If you’ve beta tested for Futuremark previously, or bought their stuff before, you could get a healthy 25 percent off the sales tag.
Shattered Horizons is priced at €19.95 / $19.95 / £14.95, and releases November 4th. Check out the pretty amazing trailer below, which shows off some gameplay moves.
