Midway’s Chicago team was responsible for giving us a gory grand time in Mortal Kombat, and then financial ruin went and happened, but Warner Bros saved the day.
At least for some, Newcastle and San Diego weren’t so lucky. The Illinois-based studio is now called WB Games Chicago according to employee profiles on LinkedIn.
”I am a Recruiter/HR Generalist for the WB Games family of studios which includes Monolith Productions, Surreal Software, Snowblind Studios and WB Games Chicago,” reads Connie Gabelein’s LinkedIn profile, found by superannuation.
Officially the studio is just called WB Games Inc, as Michael Weilbacher’s profile has him pegged as the ”Head of a Game studio in Chicago at WB Games Inc”. That’s the news folks.
End of line.
