Polyphony Digital's boss Kazunori Yamauchi has hinted at Gran Turismo 5's release here in the west saying it will likely be around the time it's launched in Japan, he thinks.
Marketing is "still discussing their issues," and that is why no firm date has been made official yet. GT5 is pegged for March 2010 in Japan. This dispels PS3 bundle rumours for '09.
"I don't think it's going to be that different for US and Europe," Yamauchi-san said at the Tokyo Game Show, reports Joystiq. "Marketing is still discussing their issues."
Gran Turismo 5 will include over 950 cars on disc and will support gamers making YouTube clips of their racing feats, it will also expand the video service 'Gran Turismo TV'. The last full release of a GT game was back in 2004 on the PS2 in Japan.
