Developer Relic Entertainment has said they’re ”always looking at feedback” from the community, and tease that a continued ”strong desire” for PC could yield something.
An online petition is currently floating on the Internet, and it hopes to convince team Relic to bring their upcoming Warhammer 40K: Space Marine action/RPG to PC as well as console.
”We, the community of Dawn of War and the Warhammer 40,000 franchise, urge that Relic/Games Workshop release a PC version of “Warhammer 40K: Space Marine,” says the petition.
”As PC players, we have cheered you on throughout all the years for each game that you have made. And so we ask that on behalf of our following that you remember us and show the gaming industry and the world why you guys deserve the fans that you have.”
According to bit-tech, Relic acknowledges the role PC gamers have had in their success. ”I want to say how much we love and appreciate all the fans who have played our PC games for years; you’ve obviously helped make Relic the studio it is today,” they said.
Relic added that ”we’re always looking at feedback on forums and know there are lots of people who are interested in a PC version. If we continue to see a strong desire for a PC version of Space Marine, who knows what might happen!” Space Marine was revealed in May.
