Realtime Worlds denied that newly formed Ruffian Games, made up of ex-Crackdown devs, would be handling a sequel in the franchise.
Rumour has it though that Ruffian will be working on a ‘Crackdown 1.5’, bringing multiplayer centric mayhem to the city this year, or early 2010. Give us Crackdown 2 news!
”The project’s being called “Crackdown 1.5″ in the UK trade, and it’s set in the same city as the original Realtime Worlds 360 classic. Multiplayer’s going to play a massive part in the game, apparently, more so than the new single-player stuff,” report VG247.
If true then Realtime Worlds was essentially right and Ruffian isn’t handling anything super big in the Crackdown franchise. Stay tuned Agent.
