It takes places in four dimensions with gamers able to play as different Spideys, like The Amazing Spider-Man and Spider-Man Noir.
It’s due for September this year and being developed by Quebec-based Beenox. We play as different Spidey’s in each of the four different dimensions, which also changes up the gameplay. So far only two have been confirmed to be in attendance.
The Amazing Spider-Man focuses on the traditional Peter Park, created by Steve Ditko, which favours ”innovative web combat”. Whereas Spider-Man Noir is a black-and-white 1930s affair, based off last year’s Marvel Comics Noir line.
Acti say the Noir Spidey is ”a cunning and covert depiction of Spider-Man, who utilises shadows to perform stealth takedowns,” went the press release.
Comic man Dan Slott has storyboarded the game, which has Spider-Man tracking pieces of the Tablet of Order and Chaos across the parallel universes. Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions releases on Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and DS this September.
