Recently an analyst predicted it ”didn’t perform” for THQ as they wanted. Well, they aren’t letting us know that if true; they sound pleased.
THQ released Darksiders in January for Xbox 360 and PS3, ”which achieved an average Metacritic rating of 83 and delivered strong commercial sales, with shipments of approximately 1.2 million units in its first four weeks,” read the press release.
”The Darksiders franchise is now added to THQ’s growing portfolio of owned brands,” it continued. This comes from THQ’s Q3 fiscal report.
In Q4, which is from March 31st onwards, they’ll be focusing on Darksiders, Metro 2033 and Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II – Chaos Rising. With 1.2 million units of Darksiders shipped, how many do you think actually sold, videogamer?
Signal Hill Capital analyst Todd Greenwald reckons it’s under 1 million.
