Virgin are launching an "online platform for gamers" of all skill levels to compete for prizes. They're a "perfect fit" for Ubi's multiplayer line-up.
Sir Richard Branson unveiled Virgin Gaming back in June at E3, championing it as the "first online platform for gamers of all skill levels to compete in some of the best games for the biggest prizes”, with over $1m in prizes over 12 months to be given away.
The first game to benefit this new partnership is Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, coming to Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
"Ubisoft is thrilled to be partnering with Virgin Gaming on its new venture. We have an exciting line-up of multiplayer titles this year that we believe will be a perfect fit for gamers to play and compete against each other in a tournament setting,” said Ubi North America boss Laurent Detoc. This is the first publisher to partner with Virgin Gaming.
