Now Future owns the GamesMaster brand and have been chatting with TV networks. No videogames show ”has come close” since it aired.
As corny and cheesy that it was, GamesMaster was and still is seen as the pinnacle of videogames on TV for the industry, with its last broadcast episode on UK’s Channel 4 February 4th, 1998. “GamesMaster was fun and inclusive. No games show before or since has come close to what it achieved. It’d be great to bring it back,” Future tells MCV.
A point of interest for its return is of course the host slot - just who will pick up the torch after all these years - Dominik Diamond has been ruled out, tragically. Is it me or has the world just got a little bit brighter all of a sudden? Don’t forget Sir Patrick Moore!
