It would be based on the three movies, ”plus one if you add The Hobbit.” The Tolkien world has ”a lot of cool characters”, so yeah it’d work.
”I can’t say anything about it,” said LEGO Harry Potter producer Loz Doyle, speaking with VideoGamer.com. They were referring to Warner Bros reacquiring videogame rights to the Lord of the Rings franchise, and getting TT to work some LEGO magic.
”It’s got three films - well, plus one if you add The Hobbit. It’s got a lot of cool characters. It could definitely work. There are very few things that wouldn’t work, don’t you think?”
”There is an age limit, and Lord of the Rings is aimed younger in terms of appropriateness. So in that respect they work. Yeah, it would definitely work,” added Doyle.
A LEGO Lord of the Rings is inevitable, I mean really. Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Batman and now Harry Potter… middle-earth is just waiting to get bricked! Would you enjoy some LEGO orc slaying, videogamer?
LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 releases this May, with LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars (based on the TV series) seeing a release this autumn.
