Three online retailers got a lot of hope up for nothing as Rocksteady’s Batman: Arkham City suddenly got listed for March 25th, way earlier than expected.
It’s here Warner gatecrashes our blissful euphoria of an early return of Batman as they confirm it’s to be ”available in autumn 2011,” and not before.
”Just to confirm, Batman Arkham City will be available in autumn 2011,” said a Warner rep, in obvious employ of The Joker to incite chaos and mass rioting among gamers. This response came after Play.com, ShopTo and Amazon listed late March dates.
Of the 3 only ShopTo has readjusted their product listing so that it now reads Arkham City is due for release August 19th, 2011. Batman: Arkham City releases on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in autumn next year. Apparently the game is ‘content complete’ already.
