Rank 50 players need to put in seven weeks work for BFBC2

Here’s something for all the hardcore gamers that need to manage their time better: According to reports, it will take approximately 282 hours to reach level 50 in Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

The statistic was provided by Orbus Gameworks, a consulting company that helps game developers keep track of what their players are doing in-game.

Here’s a more complete breakdown of the average times spent playing BFBC2:

* Rank 1-10 players spent 3-24 hours in game

* Rank 11-20 players spent 25-44 hours in game
* Rank 21-30 players spent 48-100 hours in game
* Rank 31-40 players spent 111-221 hours in game
* Rank 41-50 players spent 228-295 hours in game 

To appreciate the scale of that, a Rank 50 player has put in the same amount of time as someone working full time on a 40 hour week job, for seven weeks.

It has been nearly seven weeks since the game’s release on March 2nd.
