Publishing giant EA has expanded the Salt Lake City studio, the team behind The Sims, and has ”an exciting new project” in the works.
They want to fill ”critical leadership” posts right now, as they begin to develop something ”groundbreaking” at the enlarged studio.
Whatever this new project is it’s very much in the concept stage with job ads revealing no art assets or engine code has been put together yet.
”We’re truly thrilled to expand into Salt Lake City and what is becoming a growing and dynamic video game development scene,” said Ben Bell, Executive Producer at EA. ”We’re looking to fill several critical leadership positions on an exciting new project.”
Perhaps EA is moving the simulation lifestyle of The Sims onto something else? Though that would hardly be groundbreaking…
