Dive into a murky mystery and make impactful choices in the pixel art detective drama, A Study in Blue, which has been announced for PC.
A Study in Blue is a 2D pixel art, narrative-driven detective game where every choice has meaningful consequences. Play as Kenneth, a private investigator, and Blue, a runaway searching for answers, as you explore the megacity of Republica, solve cases, and uncover the truth behind Blue’s past.
A Study in Blue: Sleuthing and Snooping
The first footage of the game shows how the investigation works for the two protagonists and gives us a glimpse at the relationships and encounters in their stories.
The pixel art style is pretty detail-heavy, and the game is a real looker, even in the sparser environments featured. There’s a nice bit of visual flair reminiscent of a certain deduction series, too, and a sense of humor to lighten some of the darker moments shown.
A study in Blue takes place in a semi-open world, so that, combined with the moral choices on offer, it seems to suggest a flexibility in solving your cases.
A demo for A Study in Blue is out now on Steam, and you can wishlist the game there as well.
