These USB sticks come with the April 6th dashboard update pre-installed, for those who don’t fire up Xbox Live. The SanDisk’s are out in May.
Larry ‘Major Nelson’ Hryb spilled news of the upcoming SanDisk device launching in May during PAX East, chatting with Joystiq. It’s all pre-formatted so it should work straight away, providing you have the April 6th dashboard update installed.
All data, except for installed games, can be transferred to the USB devices. You can however opt to install full Xbox 360 games on the devices, just not transfer them. The Major assures us all, ”If you’ve got a 16GB and you only want to use 8, you can use the UI and throttle it back.” All USB devices will work, and not just this SanDisk range.
Will you be investing in some USB devices for the Xbox 360, videogamer?
