This may be the same online RTS that studio Petroglyph was said to be working on. It’ll have thousands of commanders duking it out.
Player commanders would face off against an AI Order of Nations foe in a persistent world that fractures into combat zones, where you can team up with others or face off against friends. Each battle’s conclusion awards experience points.
These can be spent on upgrading your commander’s class, buying new units, unlocking battalion sets, abilities and a larger headquarters. It’ll cater to those who prefer more mobile command action or precision striking from fortified safety.
Star Wars: Empire At War developer Petroglyph was attached to Trion for a MMORTS project and this sounds to be it. No business model has been revealed yet. Sound good?
