According to CVG: BioWare has confirmed that Mass Effect 2 players will get one more DLC pack in 2011 before being forced to grab ME3 to continue their story… After that date those quirky snippets will no longer be updated, “except for three weeks in 2011.”
A news item on Cerberus made the announcement, stating, “A week of posts will precede a downloadable content release, and then two weeks before the release of Mass Effect 3, a new DLC will launch” - this will probably bridge the events of Mass Effect 2 with Mass Effect 3.
