These figures came from a survey grilling 251 UK Xbox gamers between 25 and 34 years old. 83% play 3 to 4 times a week, 41% play 3 to 4 hours a day.
The most popular genre being played would be the shooter, followed by racing and then RPGs. A third of Xbox Live gamers in the UK play casual or MMOs, and over a third play gambling titles. Almost every day of the week an Xbox 360 gamer goes online.
“Compared against the average male, gamers represent an attractive proposition for marketers,” said Microsoft Advertising’s Julie Forey.
“Earning a higher wage, being advocates of premium goods and over half playing for more than three hours each day, this provides firms with a profile from which they can base their message.” Yes they know how best to gouge our wallets those sneaky suits.
